Photos
of your special event are a most important part of your website. Here
is how they need to be coordinated to produce the most effective
website presentation.
Organisation
Photos should be organised in a manner which help tell the story!
Forms to fill-in will be mailed to you to fill out, and send back
with the pictures. You need to place a number on the back of the
photo, then on the printed form, write the number of the picture, the
description about that picture, and the page it is to be on. An
example of this is:

About Pictures on the Web
Pictures that go on web pages must go through a process
called optimization, which reduces the colour information in the
photo, so they can be loaded by your viewer in a reasonable amount of
time. Therefore, some optimized pictures may be cropped, to ensure
better quality. (No, we do not alter your originals, only what is
seen on the web page.)
If you
choose to send already digitized photos, it is preferred they are
sent in a .jpg (progressive 10) so we may best optimise them. Since
we have to optimise photos to a certain presentation size, it is best
to let us do it, since we have the best software to do so.
Sending Photos
If your pictures, CDs or floppy disks are irreplaceable to you, please send them registered mail. If you wish
them returned to you via registered mail, rather than regular mail,
please let us know, since registered mail is an additional charge.
